Privacy Policy

Dividend Line (“we”, “our”, “the platform”) is an independent equity-research platform operated from Portugal (European Union).

The data controller for the personal data described in this policy is Ricardo Antunes Moreira, a sole trader registered in Portugal, trading as Dividend Line. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to.

• Account information — name and email address you provide when registering.
• Content you create — portfolios, watchlists and preferences you save on the platform.
• Usage data — pages visited and feature interactions, used to improve the product.
• Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, collected automatically.

We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data, and we ask that you do not submit them.

• To create and operate your account and provide the platform’s tools.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse and protect the platform and its users.
• To improve performance, fix issues and develop new features.
• To respond to your support requests and communicate service-related notices.

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

• Contract — to provide the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests — to secure and maintain the platform, and to measure how it is used in aggregate and anonymously so we can improve it, balanced against your rights.
• Consent — for marketing emails, where you have opted in (you can withdraw consent at any time).
• Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with the law.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share data only with:

• Lemon Squeezy, LLC (a Stripe company) — our Merchant of Record and payment processor, when you make a purchase. Lemon Squeezy handles your payment and billing details as an independent controller under its own privacy notice; we do not receive or store your full card data.
• Trusted service providers (hosting, and our self-hosted email) acting on our instructions under data-processing agreements.
• Legal or regulatory authorities, where required by applicable law.

Website analytics are first-party and self-hosted on our own server — we do not use Google Analytics or share usage data with advertising networks. Financial market data shown on the platform comes from third-party providers (Financial Modeling Prep, SEC EDGAR) and does not contain your personal data.

Some service providers — including our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, which is based in the United States — may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we and our providers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data.

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate or legal purposes. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where retention is required by law.

We use modern security practices — including TLS/SSL encryption in transit, restricted access, hashed credentials and audit logging — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these, email support@dividend-line.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in Portugal, the CNPD).

The platform is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by notice within the platform.
